Lianne Rood is a two-term Conservative Member of Parliament for Lambton-Kent Middlesex. She was first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2021.
Lianne’s experience as a farmer, entrepreneur, and in politics, has served her well as Member of Parliament. She draws on the knowledge she has gained and her work-ethic every day, to advocate for the people of Lambton -Kent-Middlesex.
Under the Leadership of the Hon. Pierre Poilievre, Lianne currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Federal Economic Development Agency for Eastern, Central and Southern Ontario.
Prior to that, Lianne served on the Conservative Leadership Team under the former Leader, the Hon. Candice Bergen as the Official Opposition Deputy Whip and Co-Chair of Question Period Planning.
Lianne’s portfolios in Shadow Cabinet have included: Rural Economic Development and Rural Broadband Strategy (2021), Agriculture and Agri-Food (2020), and Deputy Shadow Minister (2019), for Agriculture and Agri-Food.
Lianne is passionate about serving others. She focuses her efforts on tackling the issues facing her constituents in their daily lives.
